URBAN presents water drainage router WS 103
The cutting of vinyl profiles becomes easier and more decent. The new water drainage router WS 103 from URBAN fulfils all wishes and because of its favorable price of Euro 4980.- you get a real snip.
„With the WS 103 we complete our range of products according to PVC in this niche of production and we also offer there the well-known quality of Urban machinery, too“, says manager Martin Urban.
Due to the sensational price-performance ratio of the water drainage router which also exists in other versions with less options named WS 101 and WS 102 the machine is especially suitable for very small companies with minor investment volume.

Parallel welding with AKS 1800
From now on parallel welding is no longer reserved for big machines. With the AKS 1800 URBAN offers besides the AKS 8000 another vertical 4-point welding machine with a patented parallel option.
In the case of frames without transoms the vertical AKS 1800 gives you also the possibility to choose between diagonal and parallel welding before every welding process like the horizontal AKS 6100. With the AKS 8000 Urban introduced this parallel option as a new development worldwide one year ago
„This innovation met with a great response. That´s why it was logical to offer this patented solution with the AKS 1800, too,“ explains sales manager Reinhard Kreißl.
Now the AKS 1800 gives also to small companies the competitive advantage to offer windows with a better corner strength. In addition the compact construction enables a space-saving production.
The biggest advantage for you: when buying a welding machine you no longer have to decide at the same time if you want to work with diagonal or parallel welding.
The marks of quality known from the AKS 8000 and the AKS 6100 as well as the electronical adjustment of the different welding parameters were integrated in the new AKS 1800, too. From outside the AKS 1800 is similar to the proven AKS 1400 from Urban. That´s not surprising: “ We took over the conceptional basics from the AKS 1400 because this machine has been established on the market for more than 20 years with more than 800 sold machines”, comments Reinhard Kreißl.

Invitation to the “Bau”
Visit us at this fair from January, the 13th until January, the 18th
We invitate you to visit our stand 103/202 in hall B3. On more than 250 m2 we want to present you the latest developments not only in the field of production of vinyl windows and doors by machine but also according to the machining of metal. On this fair the new water drainage router WS 103 of Urban, the double mitre saw DGS 100 and the length stop Posi-Touch of Rapid-Urban celebrate more or less their premiére.
Of course, at this fair you can expect an excursion through our range of products, which are not only restricted to the machining of vinyl profiles.
Traditionally a lot of specialists of the machining of metal from the Austrian plant of Urban in Forchach (Tirol) are also represented at the “Bau”.

More than 40 exhibitors at the Rapid-Urban partnership days in June
The programme of our Rapid-Urban partnership days from June, the 18th until June, the 21st is taking concrete shape. More than 40 exhibitors will participate in the partnership days organized by Rapid-Urban together with their partners ferrocontrol and Klaes at the plant of Urban in Memmingen.
Interesting lectures, works visits and a supporting programme with real bavarian music and a Rapid-Urban-Rock-Night (Thursday, June, the 19th), complete the programme.
The experts Dr. Helmut Hohenstein from the “Institut für Festertechnik (IFT), Rosenheim”, Dr. Heiko Klingenfuß from the „Süddeutschen Kunststoffzentrum (SKZ), Bernd Serve (ferrocontrol) and Peter Hartmann (Klaes) will be there as speakers. Besides our large presentation of machines in our exhibition hall we also give you the opportunity to have a look at our plant. You can also visit two of Rapid-Urban´s customers: the companies “Fenster Fackler” in Memmingen and “Schmaus Rolladen & Fensterbau” in Hauerz near to Memmingen. There we just finished the installation of a new window production with the AKS 1600 and the SV 530 from Urban and with the machining centre of Thorwesten.

Our new homepage: A really new experience of surfing
From now on surfing on www.u-r-b-a-n.com is even more fun. We have totally relaunched our site and made it more user-friendly. The most important novelty is the lead-in to the multilingual internet era, because besides the English as foreign language there are now also Russian and Polish. Spanish and French will follow during the next months.

40 years side by side
In October we could celebrate a special jubilee at Urban, because sales manager Reinhard Kreißl has worked beside our manager Josef Urban for 40 years in the meantime.
At the age of 13 Reinhard Kreißl already started to work at Urban as a teenager and helped actively to develop the company to one of the most important machine producers in the field of window construction. Since 1987 Reinhard Kreißl has been holder of a general power of attorney. Congratulations from the family Urban and the whole staff!
